Who would have thought that America would one day have a black president? A hopeful majority. But who would have thought that America would have a black president by 2009? A very few. Apparently not President George W. Bush's generation who lived through the Jim Crow era. Obama was in fact, one of only three black senators in Congress. Add to the fact that, he was a junior senator from Illinois with only two years of experience in Congress. The chances of a black guy running for president was slim to none. But Obama had something that none of the other candidates had. What he lacked in experience he made it up in his youth. Americans, tired of the same old politics of Washington made their voice heard on Nov. 4 when they appointed Barack Obama Jr. to lead America into the new century. Many Americans did not see any change in McCain. He was Bush with a little more baggage, white hair and even more aggressive style. Obama was the complete opposite. I've heard people say anything other Bush would be good. I say there is no other way than Barack Obama. He represents to the world change America desperately needs and wants.
